Ayur Devatha also called as the Jagan Matha safeguards every living creature in the earth.

Dhanvantri is the God of Medicine and Ayur Veda, he is an avatar of Sri Vishnu. He holds Amruta the divine nectar of immortality. He also is the creator of sacred herbs and plants, that are used as medicine. He is called as The Divine Doctor.

ॐ नमो भगवते वासुदेवाय धन्वंतरये अमृतकलश हस्ताय सर्वामयविनाशनाय त्रिलोक्यनाथाय श्री महाविष्णवे नमः ||

Sri Maha Mruthyunjaya originates from Sanskrit, that translates to Maha (great) Mruthyu (death) Jaya (conqueror). Sri Maha Mruthyunjaya is the conqueror of death, He is an avatar of Lord Shiva.

Ayush Homam is performed to worship and seek the blessings of Ayur Devatha, Dhanvantri and Sri Maha Mruthyunjaya. This is performed for longevity and good health of the Devotee. This is performed on the first Hindu Star birthday (Nakshatra birthday) for the newborn Babies. It is also performed for others, on their respective Hindu Star birthday (Nakshatra birthday).
